The B&W CM8 S2 Speakers are a narrow floorstanding speaker that has the ability to fit in any room and perform to a very high standard. The tweeters on the CM8 S2’s are made of a thin aluminium dome that is then bonded to a thicker ring to prevent distortion and also better reproduction of higher notes. A ring of synthetic gel is then placed while they’re decoupled to cushion it and remove any vibration.
It also features two 130mm Kevlar bass units as well as a Kevlar 130mm FST midrange driver. The CM8 S2’s are a vast improvement on the old CM8’s, with the Decoupled Double Dome tweeter, FST midrange which improves the crossover with the tweeter improving the accuracy of reproduction through the mid-range and a faster response.
